Motor Vehicle Operator at Kaneohe

This position is located with Marine Corps Base, Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay. As the Motor Vehicle Operator you will operate and perform maintenance on one or more motor vehicles including platform trucks, fuel trucks trash removal trucks, etc.

 

Relocation expenses are NOT authorized.

  • Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

·  Operate vehicles over Federal, state, and county roads and city streets in all traffic conditions.

·  Operate platform, van, stake, and cargo vans to pick up and deliver materials/equipment or tow equipment to work sites.

·  Operate a hydraulic dumping mechanism to unload tor spread materials in the dump bed.

·  Maneuver out of constructed areas including narrow city streets and congested parking lots.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Motor Vehicle Operator without more than normal supervision such as: tickets, preventative maintenance, service records, and performing drivers maintenance of assigned vehicle.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

 

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Incumbents of drug testing designated positions will be subject to random testing. Drug test results will be provided to the employing activity/command.

 

A pre-appointment physical examination is required.

 

Must possess a Class A Commercial Drivers License.

 

Must be Respirator Qualified.

 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Driver’s License.

 

Normal working hours include night and weekend hours.

 

Selectee will be exposed to dirt and fumes and to the possibility of cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or from falling objects when loading and unloading vehicles.

 

Selectee will frequently handle objects weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally handle heavier objects while loading cargo, with the assistance of other workers or weight handling equipment.
