Summary:Implement and oversee the security operation; supervise security officersResponsibilities:Fulfill the Responsibilities, Qualifications, Competencies, and applicable Addenda of a Security OfficerMust obtain IAHSS Advanced, Supervisor, and Safety Certification within 1-year of assignmentProvide post coverage, if necessaryAct in the absence of the Facility Security Program Manager when directedAssist the Facility Security Program Manager in administrative tasks as directedInterpret applicable policies and procedures based on existing circumstancesSupervise subordinates so they perform their functions effectivelyAssign security duties as circumstances warrantEvaluate and document subordinates performanceReview and oversee corrections to appropriate subordinates reportsMaintain liaison with appropriate facility personnel on a given shiftAssist with subordinates trainingPerform other duties at the direction of or in the absence of the Program Manager or Facility Security Representative

Job Requirements

Prefer Associate Degree; Require IAHSS Basic, Advanced, and Supervisor Training Certificate within 1 year of assignment; Prefer one year of HSS or other healthcare security experience and previous supervisor experience in a service field; Skills:Quickly identify potential negative situations and implement effective countermeasures; able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; able to communicate verbally and in writing; have general computer skills to include ability to learn Vision labor management software and e-SRT; require ability to obtain successful subordinate performanceHSS will consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin or any other status protected by law.
