The Engineering Technician will be responsible for the following:

Submit and pick up permit packages at various building departments;

Assist with performing site evaluations;

Develop project folders;

Enter project information into database;

Assist Design Engineers with various tasks.

Job Requirements

Basic knowledge of electrical systems;

Adept with Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Suite, and general computer knowledge;

Ability to use standard office equipment such as laser printer, copier, scanner, fax machine, etc.

Ability to communicate information effectively, both orally and in writing, and the ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks within a fast-paced implementation team;Detail oriented, self motivator;

Some construction experience;

Good driving record;

Customer service skills;

Occasionally, driving of a personal vehicle will be required, with mileage being reimbursed by REC.

Ideal candidate will have:

Experience in the solar industry;

Hand drafting experience;

Experience working in construction-related industry;

Experience with permitting/building departments;

Computer draftingexposure.
