Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
-Receives/processes customer orders via phone, fax, e-mail, or in person, for existing accounts
-Creates shipping orders on line in a timely and accurate manner
-Performs telephone sales and order solicitation
-Telephone solicitation for customers with scheduled delivery days
-Works in conjunction with sales representative in the preparation of and follow up on quotations for customer requirements
-Prints/reviews the daily/weekly/monthly reports; recommends/takes appropriate corrective action
-Communicates opportunities to sales representatives
-Supports sales representatives efforts to obtain and/or maintain customers
-Receives/resolves customer complaints ensuring customer satisfaction
-Knows major customers; understands their requirements
-Ensures local application of sales, general and administrative policies/procedures
-Actively promotes safety in all aspects of his/her responsibility
-Ensures compliance with OSHA, FDA, and DOT regulations
-Manages accounts assigned to individuals
-Promotes/supports local and national promotions
-Performs housekeeping and merchandising of store
-Warehouse duties as assigned by manager
-Creates/maintains item price/bar code stickers
-Reconciles cash sales daily
-Prepares counter quotations for customer requirements
-Provides process and product knowledge and equipment demonstrations to store customers
-Filling of low and high pressure cylinders
-Hot shot deliveries of hard goods if required
-Able to make bank deposits
-Assists with daily operations of the store
-Other jobs as directed by management
-Assists team leader with store operations
-Reconciles medical LDR records
-Loading and off loading of cylinder trucks
-100% attendance at safety meetings
-Meets or exceeds corporate safety goals for store/branch operations
-Reports near misses in SmartSolve; participates in our JSO program
-Meets or exceeds customer satisfaction corporate goals at the local level
-Assists with E1 target for sales, gross profit and general expenses
-Assists with E1 target for cylinder filling and distribution expense
-Meets own individualized training requirements

Job Requirements

-High school diploma or combination of education and experience
-Computer skills/PC package expertise, plus knowledge of, weir and SmartSolve
-Process/product knowledge of cylinder and hard goods
-Medium physical work; requires walking or standing to a significant degree; exerting up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally; up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently; a greater than negligible amount of force constantly
-Entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls
-Moving of gas cylinders
-Ability to operate a forklift
