Claims Examiner Processor/Call Center Representative
Hours: 7:30AM to 4:30PM Monday to Friday
Pay: Up to $12.00 per hour
Assignment Type: Temporary
Job Description:
First few weeks will be primarily maintaining faxes (screen/enter information), mail sort, and research referrals using various databases. Assigned tasks, which include data entry, must be accomplished accurately within established guidelines and deadlines. After a month (or when training is complete), it is highly likely the individual will assume more responsibilities in a call center role.
Job Duties:
Intake and/or confirm incoming calls on members eligibility, referrals, and travel requests.
Respond to telephone and written inquiries from providers and members in a timely manner.
Excellent customer service and phone etiquette are required.
Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret documents (i.e., instructions, procedure manuals, claims information).
Must be comfortable using PC and navigating through databases and spreadsheets.
Previous experience and/or knowledge of claims processing is preferred.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and a quick learner.
Experience:
6 months to 1 year experience
Skills:
Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Must be proficient using Microsoft Office programs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
