This position is located at the Marine Corps base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
As the Human Resources Assistant (MIL/OA), your duties and responsibilities include; administrative tasks pertinent to the processing of various personnel actions.

· Process personnel actions to ensure transactions are accurate and completed timely.
· Audit service records to identify gaps of inconsistencies and obtain needed data.
· Interview personnel to obtain additional information needed to complete record or correct discrepancies.
· Edit records and files to ensure current, complete and accurate information according to regulations, policies, and procedures.
· Review service records and other case documents to ensure procedurally correct and sufficient to report into automated systems.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Back to topIn order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience processing various personnel actions; and utilizing computer and software programs to complete transactions.
Or
Successfully completed four years of education above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
Or
A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement for GS-05 level equivalency. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal 100 percent.

REQUIREMENTS:
Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.
