Facilities Manager at Honolulu

Job Description

Maui Divers of Hawaii, Hawaii’s premier Jewelry design, manufacturing and sales business, is currently recruiting for an energetic and experienced professional to manage a team of in-house staff and outside contractors to maintain its various facilities across the state.

Primary job functions include but are not limited to:

*Working with senior management to determine priorities.

* Directing day to day operations to implement these projects, improvements, and repairs effectively meet the demanding facility needs.

* Manages the maintenance and janitorial staff, providing training to improve productivity, monitoring and evaluating work performance, interviewing and hiring top performing staff and evaluating performance as necessary.

* Documents departmental activity through preparation of various reports, work orders, maintenance schedules and other incidental record keeping.

* Reviews and analyzes project specifications, drawings and blue prints.

* Develops and maintains inventory of spare and repair parts, materials and tools.

* Supervises and directs various seasonal projects such as roofing maintenance and repairs, facility renovations, parking lot repairs and HVAC maintenance.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

* Minimum 5 yrs of building/facilities maintenance experience or equivalent.

* A valid Drivers License- upon hire you will need to present a current clean drivers abstract.

* Ability to be on 24hr on call status for projects and facilities emergencies.

* Lifting of moderately heavy(70lb) objects will be involved.

* Travel to outer island stores will be involved.
