Job Description :

The GBS program seeks a well-rounded Information Assurance (IA) professional. Responsible for acknowledgment, and compliance with all DoD vulnerability alert notifications via the DISA Vulnerability Management System (VMS). Responsible for ensuring corrective action for system vulnerabilities are performed in a timely manner. Ensure implementation of IA and IA-enabled software, hardware, and firmware IAW appropriate security configuration guidelines. Required to support the IA test team as needed.

Should be familiar with the following: DoD certification and accreditation processes (i.e., DITSCAP, DIACAP)

from both the analysis and implementation of IA controls to the necessary documentation to completing a certification and accreditation package; all DoD information system IA policies and procedures, as defined by its security certification and accreditation documentation; protective or corrective measures in responding to an IA incident or vulnerability; common tools and process in a DoD IA environment (for example: Gold Disk, Retina, STIG, Checklist, etc.)

Required Skills :

- BS/BA in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics plus a minimum of 4 years relevant experience or equivalent experience/education.

- Must have at least a TS SCI security clearance.

- Hands-on experience with evaluating IA vulnerabilities in client-server and web enabled environments and implementing solutions to close the vulnerabilities.

- Familiar with the DISA Gold Disk and the supporting STIGs.

- Familiar with the DoD 8500.2 and the DoD 8510.01 DIACAP Process.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with Gold Disk, Retina and Nessus IA scanners.

- Experience with the DIACAP process for MAC II Accredited networks.

- Experience with DISA Vulnerability Management System (VMS) and patch management.

- Working knowledge of the Windows 2000/2003 and Linux Red Hat operating systems.

Required Education (including Major):

BS/BA in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience/education.
