About the Position:
This position is located on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii which is nestled at the foot of the Waianae mountain range on the island of Oahu. Schofield Barracks is located a few miles from the towns of Wahiawa and Mililani and is 17 miles from Honolulu. Oahu is the third largest island in the Hawaiian chain. It is home to about three-fourths of the states population. Honolulu is the state capitol and the 11th largest U.S. metropolitan city. Waikiki, the most world-renowned site in Oahu, is the top visitor destination of the state. The island is very geographically diverse with mountains, rainforests, volcanic craters, tropics, beaches and much more. - KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
You will serve as the Inventory Manager responsible for managing munitions in accordance with the Standard Army Ammunitions System. Coordinates with U.S. Army Japan, Eighth U.S. Army, and U.S. Army Alaska as well as personnel in Johnston Island. Provides inventory management for U.S. ammunition and guided missiles and large rocket assets in the Pacific, to include directing fills, movement, distribution, and disposal of assigned inventories. Reviews requirements for basic load, training and miscellaneous items. Directs redistribution of theater assets. Reviews status of shipments from CONUS. Recommends diverting ships not originally scheduled to deliver theater requirements. Maintains liaison with major commands, ammo divisions, and military assistance groups. Participates in systems field validation tests. Performs review and analysis of input data and output reports to ensure an effective management tool. Works with supply, maintenance, and storage activities to resolve asset differences arising within the field on inventory management matters. Independently computes quantitative requirements for ammunition to support theater missions within policy and programs. Identifies trends in suspensions and malfunctions in order to assure excess stocks are maintained to cover requirements.

Specialized Experience: To qualify applicants must possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level of a GS-11 or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Interprets and apply laws, regulations, principles governing ammunition management; AND 2) Reviews reports to identify trends in supply usage; AND 3) Computes requirements in support of theater contingency plans.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Restriction.
Time in Grade Restriction: Must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade of GS-11 grade (or equivalent).
