- KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- TDY temporary duty is approx. 3x a year and involve extended work hours

You will serve as the Geographic Information System (GIS) Coordinator for the Sustainable Range Program and for all GIS programs under the area of responsibility of the Mission Support Element Hawaii (MSE-HI). Provide SRP GIS support consisting of implementation of standards, completing SRP Taskers, data development and acquisition, training support, GIS application creation, and geospatial analysis. Ensures that all requests are logged, progress tracked, and completion recorded within the Monthly Status Report. Ensure that that SRP GIS support personnel remain fully trained and maintain capabilities to implement the most current versions of the geospatial software and data standards. Provide the ITAM Coordinator with GIS component input for the ITAM annual work plan, five-year plan, budget plan, and ITAM projects. Prepares the Installation GIS Inventory/Evaluation, prepares a report identifying the required data development. Responsible for providing technical and management expertise in all areas of GIS programs and activities.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
A. Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

B. Combination of education and experience - Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, You must at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience must demonstrate:
1) Knowledge of GIS software applications; AND 2) Ability to develop and test of custom GIS tools and geo-database design; AND 3) Ability to perform geospatial analysis.
This Geographic Information System (GIS) position requires completion of a BachelorsDegree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, or a combination of education and experience - Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
