The Aircraft Examiner (Sheet Metal mechanic) examines, evaluates and analyzes the condition of assigned aircraft structural systems components and accessories. Determines the actual product condition by identifying and documenting all non-conforming discrepancies and making informed technical decisions that limit work and processing to only what is required and authorized.

  • This position is a Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP).

DUTIES:

  •   - In-depth knowledge of the operating principles and functions of the various structural systems, sub-systems, components and accessories of assigned TMS aircraft.
  •   - Interpret information from blueprints, detailed engineering specifications and technical directives.
  •   - Input, access and have complete knowledge of electronically based information computer systems.
  •   - Perform key examination and evaluation processes dealing with a variety of personnel within and outside the organization.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

 

PCS is authorized.

This is a DON Testing Designated Position (TDP).  Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment.
