This position is located at the No Koa Dental Clinic, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii
This position is currently authorized 12.25% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA). COLA is subject to change without notice.
Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
Defense National Relocation Program will not be authorized.
**As a result of sequestration and budget shortfalls, Army is furloughing most of its employees for some amount of time during fiscal year 2013. - Employee must possess and maintain an American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate of training.

- Ear protection may be required.
- Incumbent will be required to receive seasonal influenza immunization.
- Must be a certified radiographer and have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in 42 CFR Part 75.
- KEY REQUIREMENTS
You will serve a Dental Sterilization Technician. Assignments include decontamination; instrument preparation; sterilization; equipment maintenance and inventory; and issuance of sterile supplies. Train less experience staff on all aspects of sterilization in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Dental Command (DENCOM) standards. Assist dentist provide treatments to patients. Procedures may include complex restorative procedures, oral pathology, prosthodontic, periodontic, endodontic, pedodontic or orthodontic treatments in the dental treatment room.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: decontaminating, preparing, sterilizing, storing and issuing of a full range of supplies and equipment used in clinics and experience assisting in general or specialized dental procedures to include making preparations and providing chair side assistance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
