Tetra Tech EM Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech, is currently seeking a full-time, Emergency Management Planner to work onsite in Honolulu, HI.

The selected candidate will work on existing projects in Hawaii and work as part of a growing West Coast/Pacific Disaster Management Services team. Current work in Hawaii predominantly involves emergency operations and logistics planning for emergency management agencies.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in emergency management planning and plan execution. A strong understanding of the National Incident Management System and National Preparedness Goal, the latter including application of the Integrated Planning system, is preferred. Candidates must be highly-motivated, customer-focused, and work well in a team environment. Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills are essential. Military planning experience is also preferred.

This position requires strong analytical, facilitation, problem solving, and writing skills. Experience applying military principles of planning in a civilian environment is preferred.

BA or BS is required, preferably in emergency management, public administration, or other degree program found to support public safety planning.

Most work will be performed in the State of Hawaii, however, some travel (probably not more than 25%) throughout the United States and Pacific will be necessary to support other projects.
