Job Description

Maui Divers Jewelry is expanding and currently seeking a experienced energetic buyer to join our Ohana.

The primary responsibility will be to achieve targeted gross margin and profit goals for a specific business unit with continued focus on selecting the right merchandise mix to meet or exceed customer needs.

Essential Functions Include but not limited to:
Effectively utilize extensive knowledge or merchandising concepts and management techniques to maximize retail selling space and ROI.
Continually conduct trend research to interpret fashion trends and lifestyles for the design and launch of market ready jewelry.
Partner with Design, Retail Stores, Manufacturing, and Marketing and related internal teams regarding retail mark-ups, merchanise assortment plans, and set seasonal merchandise goals and proper pricing and track sales performance and add or delete to merchandise mix to ensure success.
Requires a true jewelry professional who understands todays fashion trends who can interpret to fit our merchandise assortment.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidate will possess the following:
5 years expertise working for a progressive national jewelry manufacturer or retailer in product development and private branding.
Comptuer skills - Word/Excel/Outlook
Strong analytical skills with effective communication skills, time management, organizational skills, ability to be detail and multi-task oriented.
Ability to manage several projects at the same time.
Must be fully versed in open to buy and inventory reporting.
Bachelor degree in Business preferred.
