Warehouse Supervisor

Pay: Up to $40k plus bonus

A national distribution company is seeking motivated responsible Warehouse Supervisor. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the terminal which includes the supervision of warehouse workers and temporary helpers (contract laborers).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Supervises, coordinates, provides leadership and oversees the work assigned staff

• Responsible for the opening and closing of the facility

• Securing all containers left in yard and monitoring their temperature

• Using forklift and power jack for the movement of products

• Supervises the receiving of all inbound cargo and the releasing of all outbound cargo

• Controlling damages, shortages, and overages of products being received and loaded.

• Spot checking product location in the warehouse

• Monitor warehouse employees to insure company policies are being followed.

• Making sure that proper tools are utilized in a safe orderly manner with no delay/problem to customer.

• Scheduling and overseeing the work of warehousemen; checking and approving timecards

• Communicates with Inbound Coordinator on daily container scheduling for unloading

• Check equipment to be in proper working condition and report problems to Operations Manager

• Participate in safety and sanitation inspections

EQUIPMENT USED: Forklift, pallet jack.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to handle and understand the physical and mental aspects and demands of being a warehouse supervisor in the most professional way. Requires patience, intelligence, and organizational skills. Requires basic reading, writing, math, and problem solving skills.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 6 years as a warehouseman, shipping/receiving, forklift operator and team player. Supervisory experience attributed. Hawaii residents preferred
