Human Resources Assistant (NAF) at Fort Shafter

JOB SUMMARY:

The FMWRC mission is to create and maintain "FIRST CHOICE" MWR products and services for Americas Army, essential to a ready, self-reliant force.

This position is located on Fort Shafter, NAF Human Resources Office.

This position is entitled to 12.25% COLA (Island of Oahu).*COLA is subject ot change without notice.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Cost is not authorized.

Processes a wide variety of routine and complex personnel actions requiring an in-depth knowledge of NAF civilian
personnel rules and regulations. Provides advice and assistance to lower level employees on the preparation and processing of documents related to pay, compensation, benefits training, permanent change of station moves and/or other aspects of NAF employment. Receives and rates applications for employment. Prepares referrals and arranges for interviews at the request of management. Writes and posts job announcements. In-processes and out-processes employees, conducts orientations and interviews potential candidates for employment opportunities as required. Ensures the maintenance of the automated personnel database. Establishes and maintains official folders, files and reports.

Progressively responsible work experience in personnel. Ability to communicate orally and deal effectively with people of
diverse backgrounds. Ability to type and perform office automation functions.

6. All required background checks of AR 215-3, Chapter 2, paragraph 2-13; must be successfully completed and maintained including Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI). Successful completion of prescribed training (transition and/or annual) is required. Failure to achieve desired training with demonstrated competence may result in separation.
