Relocation Specialist at Honolulu

Job Description

Position Title:Relocation Specialist

Current Incumbent:

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Relocation Director

 

SUMMARY:

Individual will be responsible for managing the Corporate and Government referral process. This includes working with various relocation companies to understand their expectations in working with their transferring employees, training and tracking performance for the Relo Team who receives these opportunities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

 

Job Description:

•  Work with businesses and Relocation companies in the entire process of relocating a transferee. This Relocation Department is the key point of contact between the client (Corporation or Relocation Company), the transferee, and assigned agent. Duties include:

o  Conducts a needs assessment from the corporate transferee and place the referral with a Relocation Team agent

o  Communicate with the transferee selling their home and assign an agent

o  Reviews all instructions with the agent & collaborates with the agent on the marketing plan

o  Reviews and signs BMA for completion and accuracy

o  Provides support to the agent, as necessary, throughout the listing

o  Serves as the liaison between the real estate firm and Relocation Company or Corporation

o  Keeps the transaction on track by managing all documentation throughout the life of the file such as sales contracts, addenda, title and closing paperwork, and closing statements.

•  For destination home purchase or rental files, communicate with transferees relocating to Hawaii, assign an agent and update the relocation company on the file progress

•  Process invoice and payment for Home Marketing, Inventory, and Rental files.

•  Oversee communication to the Relo Team.

•  Use of Outlook daily to communicate with prospects and agents

•  Update database records with client and agent information

•  Develop and conducting training programs and certification classes for agents.

•  Tracking, reporting, and auditing agent performance against established goals.

•  Stay abreast of current marketing trends, mortgage programs, and Oahu’s real estate market

•  Perform job duties of fellow Relocation/REO Staff as needed

 

 

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum High School Education; general office experience in real estate and two (2) years customer service experience required, and two (2) years of previous real estate transaction experience. College degree, two (5) years previous real estate transaction experience and CRP designation preferred. Should be highly organized and have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have a valid Hawaii Real Estate license. Must be a quick learner and have a high level of retention and understanding.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Position requires the individual to have real estate transactional knowledge. Also, strong computer skills are required. i.e. intermediate to advanced knowledge on the use of all MS Office Applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and working knowledge of MS Access. Honolulu Board of Realtors’ MLS system knowledge a plus. Must be able to troubleshoot user-related software problems as well as daily equipment issues relating to computers, copy machines and a variety of fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Conduct training/lectures as needed for periods of up to 4 hours. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

 

Availability:

Ability to travel to and from Branch Office locations if necessary.
