What will I be doing?
As the Human Resources Coordinator Employee Relations/Training, you would be responsible for coordinating and performing administrative duties in support of the employee relations and training area including but not limited to answering telephones, data input and tracking, preparing, setting up and facilitating training programs. Promoting and coordinating various team member activities and hotel representation in community sponsored activities to benefit team member morale and corporate citizenship. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Planning and implementing seasonal programs, including but not limited to, Charity Walk and other run events, Food Bank campaigns, Professional Administrative Week, Aloha United Way Campaign, Aloha Festivals activities, Pumpkin Carving Contest, Christmas Tree Decorating Contest, Holiday Party, and related events. Composing letters, memos, flyers and bulletin boards/signs to notify managers, department heads and team members of various hotel-related programs, awards and activities. Using appropriate grammer, vocabulary and punctuation.
- Coordinating Team Member Recognition programs to enhance team member morale and performance, including, but not limitied to, monthly/quarterly awards at department and corporate levels. Establishing and/or following program standards and timelines. Receiving nominations, researching nominated team members and coordinating meetings for various awards review board. Notifying managers/department heads and team members of award presentation. Coordinating and requesting photographer and all applicable team member prizes. Composing team member biographies as necessary and disseminating to appropriate agencies/departments as required. Coordinating Team Member Retirement Program, ensuring that all retiring team members are recognized appropriately and according to program standards. Composing biographies of retirees and coordinating the purchase of gifts and "Aloha Party", as applicable.
- Coordinating and presenting corporate training programs, including New Hire Orientation, Reunion Compliance training, and any other related training to meet specific department needs, as designated by Senior Training Manager.
- Scheduling and coordinating training classes by maintaining a training calendar, preparing room reservations, ordering refreshments or supplies as needed. Developing and distributing training brochures/flyers/bulletin boards to notify employees of upcoming classes, tracking employee sign ups and preparing adequate amount of materials. Creating and distributing certificates of completion.
- Developing and maintaining an employee database through a computerized tracking system to track classes each employee completes. Maintaining course completion, evaluations and distributing results. Organizing and maintaining an efficient and orderly office filing system.
- Inputting and tracking data and trends of various Hilton quality measurement programs, including but not limited to Quality Assurance, and other related benchmarks into a computerized tracking system. Preparing and distributing reports for required programs relating to corporate standards and compliance.
- Attending various meetings on and off property to gather information on various community, hotel and team member-related functions.
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have one year experience in event coordination planning. One year experience in training is highly preferred. General Human Resources or marketing experience and hotel experience preferred. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite to include MS Publisher. Must have flexibile availability to include weekends.
