Position Overview
Under the supervision of the assigned shift supervisor or shift manager and Transaction Processing Group Operations Manager, this position is responsible for performing operational activities of the unit to ensure that services are delivered reliably, professionally, and that services meet the quality expectations of our customers in accordance with performance goals and in support of the departments business objectives. In addition, this position is responsible for demonstrating the Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) philosophy by participating in and practicing ESS disciplines and behaviors.
Position Responsibilities
Balancing/Reconciling Accounts
Performs complex balancing/reconcilement functions of all out of balance customer transactions in accordance with operating procedures using various applications and computer equipment. Must be able to sit for long periods of time performing accurate data entry, ten-key and computer work.
Operations
Processes customer transactions in the manner described in operating procedures. Performs Proof of Deposit (POD) and Image Cash Letter (ICL) extracts/imports throughout the day.
Communication
Communicates with branches and departments via email and telephone to request additional information or respond to requests for information.
Job Requirements
The qualified applicant for the IP Balancer position meets the following basic qualifications:
Post High School education or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated competencies in banking operations, check processing systems and/or payment systems.
2 years experience in a balancing reconcilement, or accounting role
Position requires computer skills, accounting or bookkeeping skills; critical thinking skills, and problem solving skills.
Good written and oral communication skills, inter-personnel skills, strong reading/comprehension skills, customer service skills, and works well with others.
