Surface Warfare Officers School Instructors & EMT's at Pearl Harbor

Job Description

LB&B Associates Inc. seeks current or former Instructors, former USN and MSC personnel, and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with the experience and expertise to provide full and part-time civilian contract instructional support for the Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS) Engineering Electrical/Mechanical, Firefighting and Damage Control, and Engineering Auxiliary courses at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, HI.

Instructors: Instructors shall have a minimum of three years experience in the subject matter hired (Fire Fighting and Damage Control) to instruct and a minimum of three years experience in a military training environment. Experience can run concurrently. Each instructor shall have a high school diploma or equivalency. Specific instructor qualifications (i.e. NEC requirements, professional certifications) are required to meet government requirements. Must have or able to obtain CPR certification.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Qualifications include current certification at the EMT Basic level, registered with the National Register of EMT Professionals/state of Hawaii, certification in (instructional) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by the Red Cross/American Heart Association or equivalent, certified in Heat Stress Monitoring, undergo a medical screening, proof of drug screening, able to pass physical fitness test.

General Instructor Qualifications:

•  Must be a graduate of the Navys Instructor Training Course (A-012-0077) or equivalent level of instructional training. Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification or similar certification required.

•  High School diploma or equivalent.

•  At least three years of experience as a full-time instructor teaching a subject matter closely comparable applicable Navy occupational specialty.

•  Successful performance in an equivalent or directly related specialty for six years. (The three-year and six-year requirements may run concurrently.)

•  Possess virtual classroom/seat and online facilitation experience.

•  Instructors must pass physical and psychological screening (if applicable)

•  Must be able to meet Navy fitness standards

•  Drug free

The 5-year contract will provide the Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS) with engineering, fire- fighting and damage control instructional support to include testing, remediation, curriculum support, updates and maintenance of curriculum, administration, safety and management support services for formalized naval training under the management of SWOS.
