Job Overview:Macys is seeking a Visitor Center Tourism Development Specialist to assist our National and International customers. As a Visitor Center Tourism Development Specialist at Macys, you are the most critical link in ensuring that our customers experience in our store is nothing less than magical. You will be responsible for operational and marketing support for the Visitor Center at Macys stores located in the local region and will provide presence in the Visitor Center during store hours. The specialist will report to the Manager of Tourism and Development.Essential Functions:- Provide exceptional Customer Service at all times- Learn and remain familiar with our stores services, layout, and products- Commitment to building customer relationships and increasing group business- Schedule and conduct group tours- Supervise the visitor center team in the absence of the tourism manager- Train new team members and manage scheduling in partnership with manager- Attend monthly concierge related events- Accountable for visitor center tracking, driving sales, reporting, ordering and distribution of materials- Disseminate information to store-line associates regarding visitor promotions- Distribution of 10% savings coupon in store location and to key area hotels- Regular, dependable attendance and punctualityQUALIFICATIONS:- Education/Experience:- Prior experience in sales, administrative, or travel/hospitality preferred- Exceptional customer service skills- Communication Skills:- Knowledge of a second language helpful- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Mathematical Skills:- Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division- Reasoning Ability:- Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision- Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment- Present a professional image consistent with Macys brand values- Physical Demands:- This position involves substantial bending, lifting, standing and walking- Involves moving and/or lifting at least 30 lbs- Other Skills:- Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes- Must be positive, friendly and enthusiastic- Ability to multi-task- Must have great organizational skills- Work Hours:- Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours which may include day, evening, weekends and/or holidaysMacys is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
