Job Description

The Contracts and Reimbursement team works with Business Services, Admitting, Finance, Case Management, Clinical Departments and payors to facilitate recovery of payor accounts and enhance payor relations. These dedicated professionals negotiate and maintain contracts with third party payors, review and process contract documents, transfer payor terms and conditions into the appropriate reimbursement system, and conduct analysis and reporting on payor activity.

As the Vice President of Contracting & Reimbursement, you will help to uphold Hawaii Pacific Healths operational and fiscal excellence, specifically in the area of contracts and reimbursement for our health care services. You will oversee the development and implementation of the overall strategic plans for provider contracts, reimbursements and managed care. Your responsibilities also include negotiating contracts with HMSA, Aloha Care and other third party payors; providing training and development for department staff; collaborating with management to structure the health plans contracting philosophy; legal document review, variance follow-up and managed care functions. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Ten (10) years of management experience. Five (5) years of experience in contract formulation and negotiations and experience in finance, accounting or managed care in a health care environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree. Ten (10) years of direct leadership in a health care environment. Thorough understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rules and regulations.
