Founded in 1921, Straub Clinic & Hospital is a fully integrated nonprofit health care system with a 159-bed tertiary care hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawaii. Our Perioperative Services department provides full support throughout the duration of a patients surgical procedure, spanning ward admission, anesthesia, surgery and recovery. Professional care services include identification of the patients individual needs, patient care plan development and implementation and the coordination of nursing service to restore each patients health before, during and after a surgical procedure.
If you have exceptional patient care skills and would enjoy working as part of a dedicated nursing team in our Perioperative Services department, you can help us ensure a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and their families as a Charge Nurse. You would be responsible for coordinating nursing activity during assigned shifts; delegating nursing care assignments based on available staff and resources; and overseeing appropriate patient care within nursing and departmental guidelines. This position is for someone qualified and assertive, with excellent communication skills, a strong sense of quality control, the ability to manage staff and unit work priorities and a commitment to helping our organization deliver the highest quality health care to Hawaiis people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawaii Registered Nurse License. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Two (2) years recent acute care Registered Nurse experience in the Operating Room including six (6) months relief charge nurse experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field.
