Founded in 1921, Straub Clinic & Hospital is a fully integrated nonprofit health care system with a 159-bed tertiary care hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawaii. The Cardiovascular Surgery team at Straub Clinic & Hospital is committed to providing professional, high quality care to patients and their families. Straub vascular surgeons specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the arteries and veins, and have expertise in blockages and aneurysms of the arteries in the neck, abdomen and extremities. The Vascular Lab technologists are expert in the examination or arteries and veins throughout the body, and cardiac surgeons diagnose and surgically treat heart disease, including performing cardiac bypass grafts, correct aortic aneurysms, implant cardiac pacemakers or defibrillators to treat cardiac arrhythmia and replace defective heart valves.
As the Physician Assistant, you would administer mid-level care, manage the treatment of Cardiovascular clinic patients and under direct supervision of the surgeon provide endoscopic vein harvesting during open heart surgery cases. We are looking for someone motivated and driven, with outstanding patient care and communication skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawaiis people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawaii Physician Assistant license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. One year clinical and surgical experience in endoscopic vein harvesting and thoracic, cardiac, and vascular/vascular access operative cases.
