Position Summary: The Strategic Account Manager ImPress (SAM) is responsible for growing sales through ImPress National Accounts at a local level, establishing new large local customers, and growing existing customers in a defined geographic territory and according to the established target customer profile. New accounts are transitioned at time of contract and/or within 30 days of account activation to the SAM from the National Account Manager, ImPress (INAM) for account implementation, servicing and retention. This position is assigned to large national account business on a dedicated basis and will work closely with local AEs, INAMs, and leadership. Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions: 1. Manage the new customer sale process which includes qualifying new accounts, identifying needs, developing solutions, positioning, creating contracts, negotiating terms and closing opportunities. 2. Establish relationships with new customers and key company representatives. Represent the best of OfficeMax ImPress in promoting our products, services and commitment to customer satisfaction to support business retention and expansion. 3. Research and understand agency budgets and articulate how OfficeMax offerings and pricing compares to competitors and leverage this distinction into additional sales. 4. Maintain thorough understanding of the organization. Link Office Max capabilities to decision maker#s value drivers to overcome barriers to purchase. 5. Solicit information to understand customers decision making process. Anticipate and preempt stakeholder objections to bring the customer to favorable outcomes. 6. Maintain current knowledge of economic and industry factors. Educate customers on industry trends and best practices. 7. Communicate OfficeMaxs differentiators and relate them to the organization#s priorities. 8. Be perceptive to verbal and non-verbal cues to identify unanticipated customer needs. 9. Communicate with customers on an ongoing basis to maintain relationships and ensure a positive experience with OfficeMax ImPress products and services. Schedule presentations with customers to communicate new and changing product options, reaffirming the complete range of business benefits as an OfficeMax customer. 10. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of OfficeMax ImPress products and services in order to maximize business opportunities. 11. Collaborate with internal departments to research customer problems and questions. Provide headquarters liaison to satisfy all customer business needs ensuring an engaged and satisfied customer. 12. Work closely with the ImPress National Account Manager to understand national account programs, relationships, and requirements. 13. Present renewal contracts (where applicable) for customer approvals on a timely basis, ensuring that customer business needs are met while representing the best interests of OfficeMax. 14. Develop broad and deep relationships within the customer by meeting with multiple levels of contacts, key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts within the targeted areas of expertise. 15. Job Requirements

Education, Certification & Licenses: * This position requires knowledge of sales as well as quantitative methods acquired through formal education or 2- 3 years on-the-job application. Equivalent to a Bachelors degree in marketing or business administration. Experience: * Minimum of 3 years experience in outside sales * Experience in Print-on-Demand services a plus * Track record of exceeding sales goals and other objectives as established by superior Computer Skills: * Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook * Knowledge of regional operating systems supporting the overall fulfillment process from ordering to delivery and invoicing * Other proprietary software Additional Information: * Written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of customer management * Interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive customer relationships * Ability to work independently and be self-driven, with continual attention to business retention and expansion * Presentation skills * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Negotiation skills * Teamwork skills * Valid drivers license required
