Founded in 1921, Straub Clinic & Hospital is a fully integrated nonprofit health care system with a 159-bed tertiary care hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawaii. With more than 300 employed or contracted physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with expert diagnoses and treatments for more than 30 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, womens health, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Regions only multi-disciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawaii, such as pioneering minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement. In 2010, the American Heart Association recognized Straub in three areas of excellence: Coronary Artery Disease (Gold Award), Heart Failure (Silver Award) and Heart Attack (Bronze Award).
The Medical Surgical department provides competent and safe care to patients admitted for acute nursing interventions of 24 hours or more within surgical/medical and oncology services. Our highly trained and professional staff treats people recovering from serious illness, orthopedic problems and major surgery. Medication and treatments are provided in a warm and caring environment that facilitates patient recovery.
If you have exceptional organizational and people management skills, you could be the ideal person for our Clinical Services Supervisor position, where you will manage staff, oversee daily operations and ensure quality patient care at our Medical Surgical department. We are looking for someone with demonstrated interpersonal and leadership talent, the ability to create a collaborative work environment, and a commitment to helping us deliver the highest quality health care to Hawaiis people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawaii Registered Nurse License. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Three (3) years recent acute care Registered Nurse experience in Medical Surgical. One (1) year recent acute care charge nurse or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration or related field. Current national certification in area of specialty. Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CPR cards.
