Job Description

Responsibilities: Our client is seeking an IT Project Manager for their Honolulu, Hawaii (HI) location.The Job:The PM will be managing the ICD 10 Application Remediation and Testing from version 9 to version 10. This application assigns a numeric value to medical procedures. This position will typically be overseeing 2-4 projects simultaneously.Activities include coordinating the delivery of multiple projects, developing cost benefit analyses for the program, communicating to an executive committee, creating and reporting program status utilizing a dashboard, allocating resources across the multiple projects, defining project governance policies and managing the financial concerns of the program.

Job Requirements

IT Project Manager Qualifications (required unless noted otherwise):

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must show proven success in managing diverse personalities, presenting to Sr. management, and driving complex large scale application development projects forward to meet objectives and goals
• Must have BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Proven success of managing large scale systems integrations (Enterprise), complex, multi-layered preferably in Health Care
• PMI Certification is highly preferred with 3-5 years IT PM experience - Without a PMI Certification = 7-9 years IT PM experience - Please note by IT PM experience, hiring manager is looking specifically for Application Development Project Experience showcasing solid Project Management foundation (MS projects, Action/Change Management, Scope, Time, Budget)
• Preference will be given to candidates with Health Care experience, PMI Certification, and HL7 familiarity (healthcare interface)
• Experience Level: 10+ Years
• Must be self motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills
• Proven oral and written communication skills; excellent business presentation skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines, including the business units
• Ability to effectively utilize external vendors and resources throughout the organization
• Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines
